Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a genetic disorder found mostly in boys. Due to a mutation on the dystrophin gene, Duchenne leads to progressive weakening of the muscles over time. Those with DMD typically do not survive their mid-twenties.
There is no cure......yet.
